Story

"Make Me Over" was written to be the theme song for Road To Joy Ministry's retreat program, Beautiful Soul: Extreme Makeover In Christ. The song came to life in about 2 1/2 hours in a little writing room in Nashville, Tennessee where my co-writer, Sharyn Cassidy, and I contemplated what it meant to be "made over" in Christ. Later, this song took on new meaning as it became more than words and music. It became a personal prayer for each one of us. Every day is an opportunity to go to God and ask Him to make you over, make you new. I hope this song helps you see how extremely beautiful you already are and can continue to be in Christ! You are His masterpiece!

We are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.  Ephesians 2:10

VERSE 1

Sometimes I wanna hide

Cover up the ugly inside

But You see ev’rything

From the surface to the deep

So search ev’ry part of me

Make me over

Make me new

Make me more

Make me more like You

There is nothin’ You can’t do

Make me over Lord

Make me new

What if I came each day

Accepting Your forgiveness, Your grace

What if I took the time

To let You renew my mind

See beauty through Your eyes
